How do we get creative spirits stuck at home during COVID-19 lockdowns across Asia to keep on creating and honing their craft during the lull period? As the spread of COVID-19 continued to ravage countries and populations grapple with the devastation, work dried up for the creative communities. How do we inspire them to keep the spark alive and creating content with messages of hope?
The #WearASmile campaign was created for PIXERF, the first of four initiatives under PIXERF’s “Stay Home, Stay Creative” campaign. While this first initiative, which shines the light on mask-wearing frontliners and essential workers, invites everyone to unleash their creativity, the subsequent three initiatives were designed for creative communities who were hit hard and to help boost their morale.
The #WearASmile campaign invited contributors to take a photo with a mask and add on their own creative take on a smile. This campaign itself garnered over 200 submissions and gathered media coverage on Campaign Brief Asia.
