As MUIS looked back on 40 years of history, they were keen to produce a document that was both of institutional importance as well as deeply personal. Guided by a showcase of photographs from personal collections and the National Archive, we used a tactile and surprising elements like a textured cover and offset these with monochromatic neutrals, fixing the organisation’s image in the reader’s mind as one of timeless tradition.
